Created for ethnically diverse young women aged 16–19, Rising Leaders is a unique programme designed to help you grow in confidence, develop your leadership skills and become a role model in your community.
  
We believe every woman belongs in football. That's why we're investing in the next generation of leaders, creating more opportunities for women from historically underrepresented communities to thrive and shape the future of the game. 

Because football needs more women leading the way and that journey could start with you.

We want to support those passionate about coaching football and want to grow as a leader, so whether you're taking your first steps into coaching or already coaching regularly, Rising Leaders will help you to develop and thrive both on and off the pitch. 

Over the course of the programme, you'll experience: 

• Two inspiring three-night residentials at St George's Park, with accommodation and meals provided free of charge 

• Leadership workshops designed to build your confidence, resilience and self-belief 

• Additional specialist coach development sessions to strengthen your coaching knowledge and practical skills 

• Regular online workshops, development activities and ongoing support between residentials to keep you connected and progressing throughout the year 

• The opportunity to make a real impact by delivering football sessions and inspiring others in your local community

• Be aged 16–19 (aged 16 by 1 September 2026) 

• Be an ethnically diverse young woman 

• Be passionate about football coaching 

• Be either an aspiring coach or already actively coaching  

• Be available to attend both residentials:  

o Residential 1: 5–8 November 2026  
o Residential 2 and Graduation: 14–17 May 2027  

• Be committed to participating in online learning, development activities, group tasks and regular check-ins between residentials
