For its third year, the #LetGirlsPlay awards have yet again recognised the growing community of people championing equal access to football for girls.

This year, we asked you to tell us about the amazing people who have made a real difference for girls at your school.

The game makers who have created equal opportunities.

The thought leaders who have challenged perceptions.

The star players in the #LetGirlsPlay campaign.

Because of you, we got to read so many stories about people of all genders, ages and backgrounds driving influence in their school.

Over the coming weeks we’re thrilled to share and celebrate your 2024 Let Girls Play winners…

Matilda Almond

Matilda got stuck into the #LetGirlsPlay campaign after writing to the government about girls’ football opportunities in primary schools. Since then, she’s presented a school assembly about her love for the game, inspired over 100 girls to play, and has driven students and teachers alike to get involved.
