In partnership with M&S Food, The Greater Game is a purpose-led programme which uses the power of football to improve the health and wellbeing of young people across the nation.

The Greater Game is made specifically for those aged 12-16 years under four key elements:
MOVE WELL, THINK WELL, EAT WELL AND SLEEP WELL.

Our aim?  To inspire all young people to make at least one healthier action per week.

A healthier action can be as easy and simple as swapping fizzy drink for water, getting extra hours sleep per night, going for a walk with a friend or family member or spending time planning out the week ahead.

Whether a coach, family or young person, check out our resources below and get involved today!

Episode 4

In this episode, Jess Iszatt and Daniel Nti are back at it again, this time joined by England Under 21 players and eLioness star Lisa Manley for some awesome insights into how to reach peak performance on any type of pitch. We wrap up the episode with spoken word poet Dan Whitlam, who drops in and delivers some powerful lines to get us hyped and ready to take on anything!

JACK WHITEHALL JOINS THE GREATER GAME

9:14

We’ve teamed up with M&S Food and comedian Jack Whitehall and let’s just say, while his take on nutrition was wild, his advice was actually pretty spot on. Watch the full video on The Greater Game YouTube channel to see how our England players handled Jack’s nutrition tips, from food formations to recovery strategies.

Here are some key takeaways for fuelling like a pro:
⚽ Before a game, load up on carbohydrates for energy
💪 Post-game add protein to help recovery
💧 Stay hydrated – it’s a game-changer
🥗 Super subs – healthy swaps can make a difference
