Rising Leaders is a powerful learning and development programme created for ethnically diverse young women aged 16 to 19.
This unique experience is designed to inspire confidence, build leadership skills, and equip you with the tools to become a role model and changemaker in your community both on and off the pitch.
We want to empower women and girls from historically underrepresented groups within the game to believe they belong, because the future of football needs more women at every level and it starts with you.
The 2026 Rising Leaders Programme
The programme is aimed at ethnically diverse young women aged 16 to 19 who are passionate about coaching football and want to grow as a leader. Whether you are an aspiring coach or already actively involved in coaching, Rising Leaders is for you.
Across the year, you will experience:
- Two inspiring three-night residentials (with all accommodation and food provided free of charge)
- Workshops and activities that focus on leadership, self-belief and personal growth
- Additional specialist coach development workshops to help you build your skills and confidence
- Ongoing support from The FA, including additional CPD opportunities
- A chance to make an impact in your local football community, delivering sessions and inspiring others
Between the residentials, you will complete reflective tasks and receive continued guidance from The FA to help you unlock your potential and grow as a coach and a leader.
