The Greener Game – Powered by E.ON Next

The Greener Game programme, supported by E.ON Next, is here to help grassroots football clubs cut costs and go greener – a win for your club and a win for the planet.

Whether you own your own facilities or not, every club can benefit. The programme is completely free, giving you the tools to reduce energy use, lower bills, and shrink your environmental footprint.

Grassroots clubs are the beating heart of our communities – but rising energy costs and environmental pressures are making it harder to thrive. That’s where the Greener Game can support your club

Through expert advice, hands-on support, and opportunities such as free energy audits and infrastructure upgrades, we’re here to make sustainability simple and affordable for every club.

Explore the ways your club can get involved:

What is the Greener Game and why is it important?

Grassroots football clubs are at the heart of our communities – but rising energy bills and environmental pressures are making it harder to thrive. That’s where the Greener Game comes in. England Football and E.ON Next have teamed up to help community clubs become more sustainable. Through expert guidance, practical support, and the chance to apply for free energy audits and infrastructure improvements, the Greener Game will help clubs cut their energy use, lower their bills, and reduce their environmental impact.
