Aged 12-14 and keen to kickstart or continue your football journey? Squad Girls’ Football sessions are just what you need! A fun, non-competitive way to play football locally with friends, old and new. Whether you’re completely new to the sport, are looking to transition from Weetabix Wildcats, or simply want to give it a go, Squad Girls’ Football is designed to help develop skills and build confidence, whilst encouraging girls to play their way.

Squad Girls’ Football sessions are available at various locations across England, but more sessions are being added all the time, so be sure to check back regularly if you’re struggling to find a session local to you.

Squad Sessions

Squad Girls’ Football sessions are usually around one hour long with 15-20 players participating in each session. Each Squad Girls’ Football programme runs for at least 16 weeks, with players able to attend as many or as few sessions as they wish. You can find your nearest session using our Find Football tool.

Each Squad Girls’ Football session is centred around a specific theme, including everything from building team identity, to mastering technical skills. To keep sessions interesting and on-theme, sessions are broken down into warm up, first half, half time, second half and cool down and can include a mix of both walking and traditional format football.
