For the first time, the Grassroots Football Awards 2026, presented by Howdens, took place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. We’re proud to celebrate this year’s winners, unique and inspiring individuals whose impact across The England Football Family continues to shape and strengthen the game.
Hosted by Match of the Day’s Mark Chapman, the ceremony was made even more special by England legends including Rachel Yankey OBE, Paul Merson, Sue Smith and Aaron Lennon, alongside Debbie Hewitt and Mark Bullingham, who presented our 12 awards.

Meet our Bobby Moore Award winner!
Dr Zakir Khan has spent over 40 years championing inclusivity in grassroots football. Starting as a player in Tower Hamlets in the 1980s, he went on to found an Asian league, creating opportunities for players from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and beyond.
