John Salomon's side enjoy victory over WU17 EURO group hosts on Sunday afternoon
England Women's under-17s got their first win of this week's Euro qualifying round on Sunday with a 1-0 victory over group hosts Poland.

A goal from Ava Baker just before the half-hour mark was enough to seal the win for John Salomon's side in Krakow as they now approach Wednesday's decisive final game with Croatia.

Catching Poland on the counter attack, Maddy Earl picked up the ball in her own half before sliding a perfect pass for Baker ddown the left channel.

And the Leicester City forward made no mistake, to draw the ‘keeper before rolling a slick angled finish with her left foot past a despairing Polish defence.

The Young Lionesses kicked-off their group games with a narrow 2-1 defeat against France last week and now know they need a win in their last game to stand a chance of progressing to this summer's Finals.
