The qualifier against North Macedonia will be the first time in over 16 years that Old Trafford has staged a men’s international.
Since 1926, the Three Lions have played at the home of Manchester United on 17 previous occasions with the last of those being a 1-0 defeat to Spain in February 2007. The iconic venue, nicknamed the Theatre of Dreams, was also the sold-out starting point of England Women’s run to being crowned European champions last summer.
Prior to the match against North Macedonia, England will begin the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying campaign with a trip to Italy before returning to Wembley Stadium connected by EE to face Ukraine on Sunday 26 March 2023 (5pm kick-off).
England were drawn alongside Italy, Ukraine, North Macedonia and Malta in a five-team qualifying group.
