The England cerebral palsy squad for November’s IFCPF World Championship in Spain has been named.

Head coach Andy Smith has picked 14 players for the tournament in Salou, which kicks-off on Wednesday 6 November.

The Para Lions, who finished second in last year’s EUROs in Sardinia, were drawn out alongside Brazil, Canada and Japan in Group B at the tournament draw last month.

With fixture dates and times still to be confirmed, England will also play extra games beyond the group stage to establish the finishing position of every team regardless of their progress, with England aiming to improve on their finish of sixth at the last World Cup in 2022.

For Ethan Day, Jayden Kenyon and Will Ramsey this will be their first experience of the World Championship having broken into the senior ranks over the last few years.

The Squad

Harry Baker, James Blackwell, Matty Crossen (Captain), Ethan Day, Sam Dewhirst, Mason Dunbar, Liam Irons, Jayden Kenyon, Aaran Lucas, Reegan McMillan, Giles Moore, David Porcher, Will Ramsay, Matthew Robinson
