The Lionesses' hero insists she was always confident her winning penalty would hit the net after she clinched the EUROs title

REPORT: ENGLAND V SPAIN

Chloe Kelly can't wait for 'crazy' celebrations after she scored the winning penalty as England made history by winning EURO 2025.

Kelly smashed home the Lionesses' fifth and final spot-kick as they defended their European title, prompting wild scenes in Basel.

Now, she insists, the party will go on and on.

Kelly said: "It is going to be crazy.

"I hope the whole of England comes out to support us and show their love to these girls as they deserve it."

Kelly was introduced as a first-half substitute for Lauren James and played the hero again, having already scored the winner in the semi-final from a penalty rebound against Italy and set up two goals in the quarter-final against Sweden.

The midfielder has been one of the stars of the competition – but revealed she did not feel too much pressure as she stepped up.

She said: "I was cool, I was composed.

"I knew it was going to hit the back of the net. I don't miss penalties twice.

"I am so proud of this team, so grateful to wear this badge. So proud to be English."
