HOW THE LIONESSES REACTED TO WINNING EURO 2025

The Lionesses are back on home soil, touching down earlier this afternoon.

Sarina Wiegman’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2025-winning squad departed their base in Zurich – the team’s home away from home during the tournament on the outskirts of the city.

After beating Spain in a dramatic showdown last night in the Final in Basel, retaining their title after it all came down to a penalty shoot-out, the Lionesses were crowned European champions.

Travelling with them was a piece of precious cargo as the coveted silverware returned to stay for another four years as the team were welcomed home.

Tomorrow will see the squad celebrate their success this summer at a homecoming event in central London where fans will have the chance to show their support at an open-top bus procession along The Mall, culminating with a staged ceremony at the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace.

Full details and timings of the event, which will be broadcast live across the BBC, ITV and Sky, can be found here.
