Find out what's on the agenda for the Three Lions on Wednesday 15 July 2026
What goes on behind the scenes in the England camp during the FIFA World Cup 2026? Here, you can find out in Three Lions Daily.
It's matchday, and it's a big one. The Three Lions take on Argentina in the semi-finals this evening, with the winners facing Spain in Sunday's final in New Jersey.
The headlines
Thomas Tuchel took part in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday evening, telling the media that England "want to take the next step" by going all the way in the United States.
We sat down with Sir Geoff Hurst, the scorer of a hat-trick in the Three Lions' 1966 final victory, to get his thoughts on Harry Kane and his captaincy ahead of the game.
Noni Madueke believes England's opposition will be "more worried" about them ahead kick-off in Atlanta, with Kane and Jude Bellingham both in the race for the Golden Boot.
The build-up
With the game kicking off at 3pm local time (8pm BST), the focus for the squad this morning will be on fuelling and final preparations.
They will travel from the team hotel to Atlanta Stadium, which is a familiar venue following our round of 32 win over DR Congo there a fortnight ago.
Kick-off
England's World Cup journey continues against Argentina, who knocked out Cape Verde, Egypt and Switzerland to reach the last four.
This will be our fourth World Cup semi-final in men's history and the first since 2018. It will also be the first time the Three Lions have ever faced Lionel Messi.
