England Women to face North Macedonia at Southampton's St. Mary's Stadium
England will begin the Sarina Wiegman era with a trip to Southampton when they take on North Macedonia.

St. Mary’s Stadium welcomes the Lionesses on Friday 17 September 2021 (7pm BST kick-off), three and a half years on from the team’s last visit to the south coast venue which ended in a goalless draw when they hosted Wales in 2018.

The match will be Wiegman’s first in charge following her appointment last September and the start of England’s qualifying journey for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The two sides are yet to face each other in a women’s international and have the reverse fixture scheduled for Friday 8 April in North Macedonia.

Following the match in Southampton, the Lionesses will conclude their September camp with a trip to Luxembourg with the exact venue still to be confirmed.

Tickets for the match will go on sale exclusively to England Supporters Travel Club and My England Football members from 10am on Thursday 12 August before general sale begins from midday on Friday 13 August.

Southampton’s St. Mary’s Stadium is also one of ten nominated venues for the 2022 UEFA Women’s EURO which is being staged across England next summer.
