The latest updates from the Three Lions squad for September's games with Hungary, Andorra and Poland
4 September

Jadon Sancho will play no part in England’s forthcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Poland.

The forward picked up a minor knock in training earlier this week which ruled him out of the 4-0 victory in Hungary.

Following further assessment, the 21 year old has returned to his club and is expected to recover in time for Manchester United’s fixture with Newcastle United on Saturday 11 September.

Gareth Southgate now has a 23-man squad at his disposal for Sunday’s match against Andorra at Wembley Stadium (5pm kick-off).

30 August

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has withdrawn from the England squad

The Everton striker sustained an injury during his side’s 2-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday and a subsequent scan has ruled the 24 year old out of the Three Lions’ forthcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

A 24-man squad will now begin their preparation at St. George’s Park.

England face Hungary in Budapest on Thursday 2 September then return to Wembley Stadium connected by EE to take on Andorra on Sunday 5 September before heading to Poland’s Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw next Wednesday 8 September.
