U17s and U19s 2022/23 European Championship qualifying round draws
England men's under-17s and under-19s have found out who they will face in qualification for the 2022/23 UEFA European Under-17 and Under-19 Championships
England men’s under-17s and under-19s teams have found out who they will be playing in the qualifying rounds for their respective UEFA European Championships in 2023.
The two qualifying round draws for the 2022/23 competitions were held this morning shortly before the draws were made for the elite qualifying rounds for the 2021/22 tournaments.
The 2022/23 UEFA European Under-17 Championship Finals will take place in May 2023, with 15 other teams looking to qualify alongside the hosts Hungary.
The campaign starts with 13 four-team groups in the qualifying round.
From there, the top two from each group, and the four third-placed teams who have the best records against the top two in their section, will then join top seeds Netherlands and Spain in the elite qualifying round in Spring 2023.

England MU17s, like the MU19s, were in Pot A for the draw this morning and the MU17s’ are in Group 3 with Israel, Georgia and Lithuania.
As for the MU19s, the 2022/23 UEFA European Under-19 Championship will be an eight-team Finals in Malta.
Again, there were 13 four-team groups drawn for the qualifying round this morning, with the top two and one third-placed side progressing to the Elite round.
England MU19s’ are in Group 9 alongside Denmark, Georgia and Montenegro and the mini-tournaments will be played either between 30 May and 14 June or 19 and 27 September 2022.
