Chesterfield will welcome England men’s under-20s next month.
The Young Lions will take on Italy at the Spireites’ Technique Stadium on Thursday 7 October (7pm kick-off).
Andy Edwards’ MU20s will be looking to build on a positive start to the season in September's international window. Goals from Joe Gelhardt (2), Clinton Mola, James McAtee, Jensen Weir and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi saw the new crop comfortably beat Romania 6-1 at St. George’s Park on Monday (6 September).
England's development teams are no strangers to Chesterfield either. The national team’s last visit came in October 2018 when the MU21s sealed qualification for the 2019 U21 EURO with a 7-0 victory over Andorra.

Going further back, it'll be almost ten years since the venue hosted its first international game when ourMU19s took on Germany there in October 2011. A team containing the likes of Conor Coady and Wilf Zaha lost that game 1-0.
Since then, the MU21s faced Norway when a Connor Wickham goal sealed a 1-0 win in 2012, while the stadium has also hosted a MU17s' Euro Qualifier with Turkey and was a venue when England hosted the UEFA U17 EURO Finals in 2018.
