Defender to sit out England's games with North Macedonia and trip to Luxembourg
Manchester City defender Esme Morgan has been forced to withdraw from the England squad due to a shin injury sustained in Sunday’s Barclays FAWSL match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Head coach Sarina Wiegman will not be calling up a replacement.
England take on North Macedonia in the first of their Group D World Cup qualifying matches this Friday (kick-off 7pm BST) at St. Mary’s Stadium, Southampton.
The squad then travel to Luxembourg for their second group game at Stade de Luxembourg on 21 September (kick-off 7.15pm BST)
