Lionesses striker named BT England Women's player of the year for 2021
Ellen White has been voted the 2020-21 BT England Women’s Player of the Year.

Lionesses fans voted for the Manchester City striker, who started the year with a hat-trick in England’s 6-0 victory over Northern Ireland
And while the voting was based solely on England performances, White also shone at this summer’s Tokyo Olympic Games scoring six goals to help Team GB’s football squad reach the quarter-finals.

Manchester City teammate and England captain Steph Houghton presented White with the trophy at England’s Southampton training base, where the squad are preparing for their first FIFA World Cup 2023 qualifying match against North Macedonia on Friday.
