This summer, the England men’s senior squad wore their match shirts with pride and Three Lions fans across the country did the same. The launch of PayPal’s festive campaign this week was supported by several of the squad, including Mason Mount, Jack Grealish, and Bukayo Saka.
Mount, who captured the spirit of England’s EURO 2020 campaign when he gifted his England match shirt to young fan Belle McNally after the Three Lions’ 2-1 semi-final win over Denmark, is looking forward to making another young fan’s day in December.
He said, “To get my niece her first England shirt with my name on the back, that will definitely be special.”
Grealish is a relative newcomer on the international scene, but he already has positive memories of the special tradition of trading shirts at full time.
“I’ve swapped with loads of players,” he said. “In years to come, you’ll always remember back to that game.”
