We're pleased to have received news of the appointment of four of English match officials for this summer’s UEFA Women’s European Championships, which are being held here in England.

Rebecca Welch (referee), Sian-Massey-Ellis and Lisa Rashid (assistant referees) and Chris Kavanagh (VAR) will all represent England at this summer’s tournament, making up one of the 12 teams appointed by the UEFA Referee’s Committee.

Video assistant referees are being deployed for the first time at all matches in a UEFA Women’s EURO final tournament.

The tournament will run from 6 July to 31 July,  kicking-off at Old Trafford when England take on Austria, and concluding with the final at Wembley Stadium connected by EE.

Welch said: “Now the news has finally sunk in, I’m excited and honoured to be representing PGMOL at a home Euros in England.

"It’s something I have been working towards for the past four years and it’s a dream come true.”
