The Lionesses are back in Brighton for their first knockout game of EURO 2022

England will play Spain in the UEFA Women's EURO 2022 quarter-final on Wednesday, following the completion of Group B on Saturday evening.

The Lionesses made it three wins from three games on Friday with their win over Northern Ireland, but they'd already ensured they'll finish top in Group A, after their 8-0 victory over Norway on Monday and the 1-0 scoreline in the opening game against Austria at Old Trafford last week.

And it will be a return to a memorable venue as England will head back to the Brighton & Hove Community Stadium, scene of the record-breaking win over Norway, where we are confirmed to play at 8pm BST on Wednesday 20 July and live on BBC One in the UK.

As for the opponents, Spain finished in second place in Group B after their 1-0 victory over Denmark on Saturday.

Germany had already sealed top spot in Group B after winning their opening two games, which left both Denmark and Spain competing for second place in Saturday's decider in Brentford.

On Saturday 16 July, UEFA will be releasing a limited number of additional tickets for the quarter-final in Brighton.
