We look back on the last year with some of the best photos involving our England sides from 2023

Following hot on the heels of a momentous 2022, the last year has been another historic one, with no less than five England teams involved in major finals.

Here we look back on another incredible year with some of the best pictures of 2023 from our different England teams.

We were less than a week into the new year when 41 of our Para Lions flew out to Tenerife for a week-long training camp. With a host of major tournaments to come, it gave staff and players the chance to not only work on their own team objectives but also developed the sense of 'One England' among the Para squads, with members of the Blind, Cerebral Palsy, Deaf and Partially Sighted teams flying out to Spain

England Women were also set for a busy year, competing on four fronts. They started it off by beating South Korea, Italy and then Belgium to retain the Arnold Clark Cup. Giving the players yet another chance to celebrate with their fans!

It was a great start to the year for the England men's team too and in particular Harry Kane. The Three Lions skipper became his country's all-time record goalscorer during the 2-1 win away to Italy and the importance of the moment was etched all over his face.

The record-breaking moment was one Kane celebrated with all of the England players and staff in the dressing room

There was more history made two weeks later when England became the first winners of the Women's Finalissima after another night of drama at Wembley Stadium, with the Lionesses beating Brazil on penalties after the visitors had equalised in injury-time

Our cerebral palsy team also added their names into the history books in June when they became the first England CP side to ever reach a major final when they came runners-up to Ukraine at the 2023 IFCPF European Championship

We have become accustomed to seeing Bukayo Saka's beaming smile and it was back when 'Starboy' scored his first professional hat-trick against North Macedonia

You could have had 23 pictures just from the incredible MU21s' celebrations after they won the Under-21 European Championships as the emotion poured out of the players

The England Blind Women team was only launched in May 2022 and 15 months later they were competing in their first major tournament, as around 1,250 blind and partially sighted athletes from 70 countries competed across ten sports as part of the IBSA World Games in Birmingham and the West Midlands

England Partially Sighted missed out on a maiden World Championship in the cruellest of fashion in August. They were leading Ukraine with less than four minutes of extra-time remaining before the visitors equalised and then grabbed the winner with 22 seconds remaining. But Adam Lione's outstanding hat-trick and England PS's performance will live long in the memory

Jude Bellingham's undeniable talent has been clear for many years but the all-action midfielder reached new heights for club and country this year. And his goalscoring form for Real Madrid and England has seen kids - and adults - across the country doing 'The Jude'

England Powerchair were another of our Para Lions teams to go agonisingly close to winning a major trophy, as they were just beaten on penalties by France. Here Chris Gordon is celebrating the semi-final win over the USA
