Relive some of the England men's senior team's standout moments from this year with our official England photographer Eddie Keogh

It’s not often a footballer hears you shouting in the noise of a full stadium but on this occasion Harry did. His reaction and beaming smile may have had something to do with the fact that he had just scored his 54th England goal to break Wayne Rooney's record in our 2-1 win against Italy in Naples.

There are certain times in the job when you have to take a picture that you know will be of historical importance and this was one. Gareth did his team talk after a brilliant win away against Italy, Harry says a few words and then I’m in. Arrange the boys together, a quick scan to make sure everyone is decent, scream ‘C'mon England!’, press the button and pray it's sharp and correctly exposed.

Trent is such an athletic and dynamic footballer, I just love his hair in this shot when we played away against Malta. Medusa, famous for her hair of snakes had the power to turn people to stone. Pretty sure I’ve seen Trent do that to a few defenders over the years.

The nicest man on the planet scores a hat trick against North Macedonia and then he celebrates that hat trick by running straight at me holding three fingers up. How nice is that?

One of the lovely things in my job is getting the access behind the scenes and the walk onto the pitch at Old Trafford is kinda special with that ’Theatre of Dreams’ sign.

Weirdly enough some of the most popular posts on our social channels are players getting on and off planes. The elite players spend a lot of time travelling and Marcus was so engrossed in his iPad I don’t think he even noticed me or the lovely sunset behind him.

There’s a lovely calm atmosphere about this image I like. It’s almost the calm before the storm because within minutes the players will be sweating buckets on the training pitch.

I love this picture as it pretty much sums up a training day with England. You're training with the very best players your country had produced so you need to concentrate and give your very best every session. Maddison's expression shows that and the low angle of the camera makes his shot on goal feel even more dynamic.

The man of the moment happened to walk past a kids' training session at Tottenham Hotspur's training ground and havoc ensued. I love this picture as it was totally unplanned and Jude is almost lost in the frenzy.

It was 1-1 at half time against Italy where Gareth and Jude walked out together deep in conversation. I couldn’t set up a better picture to show the characters of these two people if I tried. The steely eyed look of determination from Jude, while Gareth rests a hand on the shoulder and gives encouragement to his young star before he heads back onto the pitch.

Photography is about moments, whether that's winning goals, great celebrations or even young mascots who are told to wait in line but can’t wait to see their heroes.

Sir Bobby Charlton was a boyhood hero of mine so to be allowed onto the pitch to take the official picture of the England team as they took part in a minutes applause in remembrance of Sir Bobby Charlton prior to the match against Malta was a special moment. What a player he was.
