Young Lions will look to bounce back against Switzerland on Monday

England men’s under-18s were defeated 3-0 by Belgium on Friday afternoon.

Belgium took the lead in the 17th minute at Stadion Aldo Drosina in Pula, Croatia, through a free-kick by Enock Atta Agyei.

England MU18s had the chance to equalise from the penalty spot just before the half-hour mark when Jobe Bellingham’s shot was blocked by the hand of a Belgium player.

However, the spot-kick by captain Bellingham was saved by Mike Penders and ten minutes later, Belgium doubled their advantage through Chemsdine Talbi.

England goalkeeper Ben Cisse made a number of fine saves during the game but he couldn’t stop Belgium from going three goals up early in the second half through Malick Fofana.

England MU18s, who had started their trip to Croatia with a 2-1 win over the hosts on Wednesday, will now conclude their camp with a match against Switzerland on Monday.
