Report: England MU19s 6-0 Romania
Amario Cozier-Duberry, Jamie Donley, Leo Castledine, Kian Best and Will Lankshear all find the net at the Marbella Football Center
England men’s under-19s began their week of matches in Spain in impressive fashion as they beat Romania 6-0 on Wednesday evening.
Amario Cozier-Duberry, Jamie Donley, Leo Castledine, Kian Best and Will Lankshear all found the back of the net for the Young Lions at the Marbella Football Center.
England took the lead inside the first minute through Cozier-Duberry as the Arsenal youngster opened his body up and slotted left-footed across the goalkeeper.
Cozier-Duberry played a part in the Young Lions doubling their advantage just before the quarter of an hour mark when the goalkeeper fumbled his looping cross and Donley capitalised on the error but thumping the ball through the bodies to score.
Simon Rusk’s side made it 3-0 on 37 minutes when Castledine headed in a beautifully whipped cross by Kian Best from close range.
Donley grabbed his second of the match early in the second half as he volleyed in after a corner was only half-cleared.
Best then made it five with a screamer from 25 yards out as his shot rifled into the roof of the net just after the hour mark.
And the scoring was concluded with less than 20 minutes remaining when Will Lankshear tapped in from close range after a breakaway down the right.
Next up for England MU19s is a game versus Japan on Saturday (1pm GMT) before the trip concludes against Mexico on Tuesday 21 November (5pm GMT).
