Goals from Shea Lacey, Mikey Moore and Shumaira Mheuka help Young Lions to victory

England men’s under-17s enjoyed a 3-0 victory over Norway on Wednesday.

This was the first of two games between the sides this week, with Greg Lincoln’s Young Lions also facing the same opposition at St. George’s Park on Friday, with kick-off at 12pm.

The games are part of the countries’ preparations for the UEFA Under-17 Championship first qualifying round in November, when England MU17s will play Faroe Islands, Kosovo and hosts Croatia.

On Wednesday England took the lead when Chelsea striker Shumaira Mheuka turned in the box and had a shot saved, leaving Manchester United’s Shea Lacey to score with the rebound.

Lacey was then involved with the second goal as his beautiful ball in from the right saw Mikey Moore ghost in at the far post to score with a delicate finish.

And Mheuka rounded off the scoring with a good finish from the six-yard box following Moore’s cross from the left.
