England men’s under-18s continued their preparations for the FIFA U17 World Cup on Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 victory over Morocco in Marbella.

The Young Lions are in southern Spain for a mini-tournament, which began last week with a 1-1 draw against Belgium in the first of three games for Ryan Garry’s side.

And after making ten changes to the line-up from their opening game, the Young Lions made a quick start again this time, taking the lead after just ten minutes.

Following an assist in the last game, it was Newcastle’s Anthony Munda who was the provider again as his whipped cross picked out Samuel Amo-Ameyaw who tucked it away at the near post.

The second half was more of a battle, against an aggressive Moroccan side who will also be travelling to Indonesia for the World Cup next month. Garry made full use of his squad to get minutes on the pitch for the group, including a debut for Cheltenham Town's Tom King.

And England held out to keep a clean sheet and register their first win of the season, as Garry and his staff continue to build for their trip to Indonesia.
