2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals draw
Young Lions discover UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals opponents
England MU17s have found out who they will face at the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals after the draw was made on Wednesday evening.
The Young Lions will be one of 16 teams competing in the U17 EURO in Cyprus this summer, with the tournament taking place between May 20 and June 5.
The hosts Cyprus and other 15 nations were split into four groups of four during the draw in Ayia Napa.
England were placed in Group D alongside France, Portugal and Spain, with the top two from each pool progressing to the quarter-finals.
The MU17s have impressed under Greg Lincoln, scoring 29 goals in their six qualification matches across the two rounds and only losing one, March’s narrow 2-1 defeat to France when progression was already secured.
England will kick-off against France on Tuesday 21 May at the Ammochostos Epistrofi Stadium (6.30pm BST), before facing Portugal at the same venue on Friday 24 May (6.30pm BST) with the final group game with Spain on Monday 27 May at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium (6.30pm BST)
The tournament will be played across six venues: Dasaki Achnas Stadium in Dasaki, Ammochostos Epistrofi Stadium, Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium and AEK Arena in Larnaca, the Paralimni Municipal Stadium Tasos Markou in Paralimni and the Limassol Stadium in Limassol, which is where the final will take place.
