Ireland Away ballot result and sale information

Written by:

FA Staff

Ballot results and sale dates for Ireland away are now confirmed.

We're pleased to announce that we can confirm the ballot results and sale dates for our upcoming UEFA Nations League fixture against Ireland, taking place on Saturday 7 September 2024 at the Aviva Stadium, KO: 5pm.

We have been allocated a total of 2,981 tickets for this fixture.

A total of 11,752 members registered their interest in this fixture, meaning that a ballot was required to determine who would be offered the chance to purchase tickets for this match in Sale Window 1.

The cap cut-off point to be guaranteed a ticket for this match was 25 'active caps'.

Members who were on 24 caps were entered into a mini ballot to make up the rest of the 70%.  Therefore not all members on 24 caps were guaranteed.

All other members who registered for this fixture were entered into the 30% ballot.

Please bare in mind the caps table is still being updated by our IT team at this moment in time.

An email will follow this evening with your current 'active caps' total but rest assured your ballot results are accurate and reflect your current 'active caps' total for the 24-26 membership cycle.

As a reminder, when a new membership cycle starts, only the caps which were earned from matches that took place during the previous membership will remain ‘active’.

Therefore, the highest caps total any member will be able to have after the reset will go to 30.

That equates to 28 caps for matches attended, one for renewal if you were a member of the previous membership and an additional bonus cap for members who are now in their third consecutive membership.

Members can now view the results of the ballot.  Please remember that you are required to 'Sign In' to your account before following the link to view these results.

Simply follow this link to sign in (top right hand side of your screen).  The page should automatically take you to your ballot results.  If it doesn't, try clicking here once you are signed in.

The Ballot

The ballot was conducted using the 70%/30% rule as outlined in section 6.2 of the Rules of Membership.

Based on all eligible members who applied, the cap cut-off point to be guaranteed a ticket to this match was 25 'active caps'

Members who were on 24 caps were entered into a mini ballot to make up the rest of the 70% and therefore be guaranteed a ticket for this match.

Ballot results will be visible on the same page you used to register your interest.  Please be aware you will need to be signed in to see the results.

You can view your ballot results here.

Wheelchair Tickets

We have been allocated a total of ten Wheelchair and ten Companion tickets so far for this match.

Members who registered for Wheelchair + Companion seats, and who were successful, will be sent a link on Tuesday 13 August to follow whereby they can pay for their ticket(s).

Easy Access

Please note that we have not received an official Easy Access allocation for this fixture.

We have identified seats within our allocation that we believe are the most suitable for this seating type.

Once the sale has concluded, a link will be sent to all ticket holders to apply for ‘Easy Access’ seating.  In this form, you will be able to highlight what type of seating would work best for you (i.e. few steps, aisle seat, extra room).  We will then seek to allocate you in an area that is most suitable for you and provide a companion ticket if you are eligible.

Please note: every seat in the away end will require climbing 14 steps.  However, once inside the stand, there are a very low number of small steps to access the seats.

Seating Only Area

For this fixture, based off of feedback from supporters, we have identified an area of the away end which will be dedicated to members who do not wish to stand for the entire match.

There are a total of 30 seats which meet these criteria.

An email will be sent to all ticket holders once the sale has concluded, with a link to complete a form and apply for these seats.
