England C squad named to play Nepal at Aldershot Town

The fixture is part of a visit from the All Nepal Football Association to help raise the profile of football to the Nepalese community in England

England C will host Nepal in an International match at Aldershot Town's EBB Stadium on Monday 6 May 2024 (3pm BST) and manager Paul Fairclough has named his squad for the game.

The fixture is part of a visit from the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to help raise the profile of football to the Nepalese community in England and increase participation from the wider south Asian communities as part of our Asian Inclusion Strategy, ‘Bringing Opportunities to Communities (Phase 2)’.

The All Nepal Football Association will also be engaging with daily community engagement events supported by the Hampshire FA, Army FA and Aldershot Town FC during the visit.

Graham Brookland, chief executive of the Army Football Association said: “We're proud to be involved in such a prestigious event. It is a privilege to be asked to support the FA and with the support of the Brigade of Gurkhas we look forward to developing a relationship and engaging with the All Nepal National Team for the duration of their stay in the United Kingdom.”

Neil Cassar, chief executive of Hampshire FA said: “We very much look forward to working with the FA, Army FA and Aldershot Town FC in hosting the match between the England C Team and Nepal National Team at the EBB Stadium. This is a prestigious match for the region and will strengthen our community engagement programmes in and around the Aldershot and Rushmoor area. “

And Aldershot Town chairman Shahid Azeem added: “We’re really excited to welcome international football to Aldershot and the EBB Stadium.

“It will be an historic and fantastic occasion for the club and the town as a whole and I’d like to thank all of those who have helped to arrange the game.”
