England men’s deaf team began their European Championship challenge with a 4-0 win over Wales in Antalya, Turkiye.
The Para Lions managed to edge ahead in a tight first half, after Cavell Donaldson opened the scoring from the penalty spot, cooly slotting low into the bottom right corner to get things going.
It was after the break that England really clicked though, and they doubled their advantage less than two minutes after the restart. Matt McQueeney was the goalscorer this time, as he curled home a right-footer into the top corner after the ball broke to him just inside the area before he picked his spot and executed a fine finish.

Abdou Jobe added a third goal just before the hour mark to make it even more comfortable, sliding home in the box to finish a cross from the left after a patient move from England.
And Donaldson collected his second of the game when a corner to the back post was laid back by Will Palmer to the striker who made it 4-0 to complete the scoring.
England will be back in action again on Wednesday morning (8.30am BST) when they take on Greece.
