A Jamie Clarke hat-trick helped Para Lions pick up impressive win at the Deaf EUROs in Turkey

England made it two wins from two at the Deaf EUROs in Turkiye, following a 5-0 victory over Greece on Wednesday morning.

The Para Lions kicked-off their campaign in Antalya on Monday with a 4-0 win against Wales, and England were in equally ruthless mood in their second group game of the tournament.

Jamie Clarke opened the scoring after eleven minutes, after sublimely turning just inside the Greece half before a run at goal saw him skip past two challenges before firing home a left-footed shot into the bottom corner.

England had to wait until the 70th minute to find their second goal though, when Abdou Jobe’s cross from the right was turned home by a Greek defender from close range.

It was 3-0 in the 79th minute when a corner from the left was floated to the far corner of the box, where Dylan Cross expertly controlled the ball before cutting inside and firing a low shot home.

Two minutes later, Clarke added his second of the game and England’s fourth with a low, crisp finish from inside the area after he was picked out in the box with an incisive pass from Jobe.

And Clarke completed his hat-trick with five minutes remaining when he was picked out in the box by Jobe again before making no mistake with another clinical finish, this time with his right foot into the bottom corner.

England will now turn their attention to their next fixture against Scotland on Thursday afternoon (3pm BST).
