The Young Lions will be heading to Slovakia for the UEFA U21 EURO next summer!

England will be in Slovakia next summer to defend their UEFA U21 EURO title, after sealing qualification on Saturday.

The Young Lions beat Ukraine in a crucial qualifying group game on Friday evening thanks to two late goals from James McAtee against a team who had not previously dropped a point.

That prevented Ukraine sealing first place as their lead in the table was reduced to two points, but results elsewhere meant they qualified as, at worst, one of the three best runners-up.

And England's place in the Finals was confirmed on Saturday evening following Northern Ireland's 5-0 victory against Azerbaijan.

The U21 EUROS will take place between 11 and 28 June 2025, with the draw for the tournament taking place on 3 December in Bratislava and played at eight venues across the country.

Next year's Finals will see the hosts and 15 qualified nations compete, with four groups of four being drawn out before the knockout stages.

England, currently under interim head coach Ben Futcher, will finish their qualifiers on Tuesday 15 October when they face Azerbaijan at Ashton Gate in Bristol. Tickets for the game are still on sale here.
