England MU17s squad named for October qualifiers

Neil Ryan has named his group for Round 1 of EURO 2025 qualifying games to be played this month

Neil Ryan has named his England men’s under-17s squad for this month’s EURO 2025 qualifiers in Malta.

The Young Lions will play three matches at the Centenary Stadium, aiming to finish in the top two of a four-team group in Round 1 of qualifying, which would see them progress to Round 2 next year.

Ryan’s side play Malta on October 24 (10am BST) before taking on Latvia on October 27 (10am BST) and Sweden on October 30 (13:30 BST).

The Squad

Goalkeepers: Owen Asemota (Aston Villa), Lanre Awesu (West Ham United), Jack Porter (Arsenal)

Defenders: Jun’ai Byfield (Tottenham Hotspur), Malachi Hardy (Tottenham Hotspur), Dante Headley (Manchester City), Bendito Mantato (Manchester United), Lewi Richards (Chelsea)*, Freddie Simmonds (Brighton & Hove Albion)

Midfielders: Landon Emenalo (Chelsea), Chinaza Nwosu (West Ham United), Anton Palmer (Middlesbrough), Luke Rawlings (Wolverhampton Wanderers). Reggie Walsh (Chelsea)* 

Forwards: Andre Dike (West Ham United), Max Dowman (Arsenal), Chizaram Ezenwata (Chelsea), Finlay Gorman (Manchester City), Harry Howell (Brighton & Hove Albion), Rio Ngumoha (Liverpool), Igor Tyjon (Blackburn Rovers), Luca Williams-Barnett (Tottenham Hotspur)
