The England men’s development team coaching line-ups for the 2025-26 season have been confirmed, ahead of the first internationals in late August and September.

Lee Carsley’s coaching team with the MU21s remains the same as last term, as they embark on a new UEFA U21 EURO qualifying campaign.

Chris Ramsey returns to the FA as professional development phase (PDP) lead overseeing the MU17 to MU20 age groups. A former technical director at Queens Park Rangers and head of player development at Tottenham Hotspur, Ramsey has extensive experience in international football. He was head coach of England MU20s in the late 1990s – taking in the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship – and has assisted with the MU16 and MU17 squads.

With last season’s MU17s squad having qualified for the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar this November, Neil Ryan will take charge of this term’s MU18s.

The MU19s and MU17s will be led by Will Antwi and Liam Bramley respectively as they prepare for the 2026 UEFA EURO competitions, while Ben Futcher continues as MU20s head coach.

Elsewhere, Kalam Mooniaruck arrives at the FA from West Ham United to become youth development phase (YDP) lead across the MU15 and MU16 age groups. Mooniaruck returns to the FA, having previously been a youth coach educator and spent the last seven years at the Hammers where he was most recently head of coaching and player development.

Tim Dittmer, the FA’s head of coaching, said: “We are excited to be entering a new season that has particular significance given the revamped UEFA format across U17, U18, and U19 age groups which we hope provides further unique opportunities for our players and teams. We are also excited to be taking part in the new-look FIFA U17 World Cup having qualified in March 2025.

“In readiness, we have made adjustments in how we support our teams as staff. Notably, we have appointed two new phase leads in Chris and Kalam, who each bring a wealth of experience to the roles. Additionally, we have made a conscious effort to provide greater continuity in staffing across the cycles which naturally occur within the programme.

“As a close knit team of staff within men's technical, I hope we can continue to support our players throughout the unique experiences and opportunities that international football affords them.”
