The 18th episode of That Lionesses Podcast connected by EE is live, with Alessia Russo and Hannah Hampton joining Harriet Rose on the sofa

If you haven't tuned in yet, here are five talking points you may have missed.

Penalty chaos

Russo and Hampton are still on a high after Thursday's unbelievable penalty shoot-out win against Sweden in the quarter-final of the EURO 2025.

The striker revealed that, amid the chaos, she even lost track of what the score was and where both teams stood.

She said: "That's the wildest shoot-out we've been involved in. I can't fathom it.

"All of us were like, "What's going on?". I got a bit confused at one point about who had to score. I was stood next to LJ and she kept going, "What's happening now?".

One nostril

Hampton took a knock to the nose in extra time of the quarter-final, with blood pouring out onto her gloves and the grass.

The goalkeeper revealed to Harriet she didn't even notice at first, and wasn't in pain, but that she was made aware by Chloe Kelly telling her to stay calm.

She said: "I put my hand up to my face and there was no blood, but when I sat up it came pouring out. Chloe was there saying, "Stay calm, sit still".

"Then Chloe was taking the mick out of me, going, "You've got one nostril".

Who's Paul?

Footage emerged post-match of Hampton answering a phone call during her press conference, eventually saying, "Paul, I'm in a presser, I'll call you back".

On the podcast, Hampton revealed the identity of Paul.

She said: "It was a call from friends back in England watching the game. There were quite a few of them altogether and they were just going mad.

"It was non-stop from them, going off so many times during the press conference, and eventually I had to answer it."

Brilliant Bronze

Russo sung the praises of Lucy Bronze, who scored to make the score 2-1 against Sweden and then emphatically smashed in a penalty during the shoot-out.

Bronze was also spotted applying her own strapping to her thigh towards the end of the game, and her team-mate called her a "born winner".

Russo said: "To have someone like that in your team is so empowering. She inspires every single one of us with how she is, what she does. She's just a legend.

"She's a born winner. Not just even in football, just in every single thing in life."

Looking ahead

Italy are next up for the Lionesses, who have the chance to reach their third consecutive major tournament final.

Russo and Hampton discussed the recovery methods they will be using to ensure they are ready for the match.

Russo said: "At the moment I'm enjoying cryo. It's so good. It's like standing in the snow for three minutes."

Hampton added: "It's standing in -120 degrees wearing oven mitts, a beanie, some big slippers. It's so nice."
