The first-ever ETC National Futsal Finals took place at Repton Sports Centre in partnership with England Futsal, bringing together regional champions from across England to compete for national honours in the Under‑10 and Under‑12 age groups.

Both finals were decided by penalty shoot‑outs following closely contested matches, highlighting the high standard and competitive balance on display throughout the event.

In the Under‑10s competition, Manchester City were crowned national champions after a tightly fought final against Arsenal. With Manchester City scoring an equaliser with less than 15 seconds remaining in the game, they managed to take that momentum into the penalty shootout to win the national trophy. The Under‑10 Finals featured regional winners Plymouth Argyle (South West), Arsenal (London & South East), Manchester City (North West), Newcastle United (North East), Nottingham Forest (Midlands), and Ipswich Town (East).

The Under‑12 title was claimed by Brighton & Hove Albion, who overcame Newcastle United on penalties after an evenly matched final. The Under‑12 Finals tournament included Devon FA (South West), Brighton & Hove Albion (London & South East), Liverpool (North West), Newcastle United (North East), West Bromwich Albion (Midlands), and Ipswich Town (East), all of whom qualified as winners of their respective regional competitions.

Repton Sports Centre provided a fitting venue for the national finals, hosting a showcase of technical quality, tactical awareness and resilience, reflecting the core principles of futsal development within the ETC pathway.

The narrow margins in both age‑group finals underlined the strength of the regional programmes. Centre staff have been able to experience several CPD futsal opportunities this year, including receiving a bursary to take part in the National Futsal Course as well as being able to attend a Senior Futsal Lionesses training camp. Planning is already underway for next season’s futsal competition which no doubt will be a great build on from this season.

Congratulations are extended to Manchester City U10s and Brighton U12s on being crowned national futsal champions, as well as to all participating teams for their performances and engagement across this season’s futsal offering.
