Drury steps into WU20s World Cup squad
The Young Lionesses have made a change to the squad for September's Women's U20 World Cup
Layla Drury has been called into the England squad for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
The Manchester United forward replaces Lauryn Thompson, who will remain with North Carolina Courage as she manages a return from injury.
Drury was among the seven different scorers on target for the Young Lionesses in their final warm-up fixture against New Caledonia at St. George’s Park yesterday.
Lydia Bedford’s side arrive in Poland on Monday and will get their World Cup campaign underway against Canada on Saturday 5 September (5pm BST) in Bielsko-Biała.
