Three Lions back to training ahead of Ghana

Thomas Tuchel and his squad were back on the training pitch at Swope Soccer Village

The England squad returned to the training pitch at their FIFA World Cup 2026 base in Kansas City on Saturday, as attentions turn to their second group game against Ghana.

Thomas Tuchel and his squad had enjoyed some time to relax on Friday, following their recovery session and practice match against a Sporting Kansas City team on Thursday.

But they returned to the Swope Soccer Village on Saturday morning, with the 25 members of the squad in the group while Bukayo Saka trained separately to follow his own training programme.

England kicked-off their World Cup campaign in Group L with a 4-2 victory over Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday, and will head to Boston for their second game on Monday where they will face Ghana (9pm BST).

The African nation also began their campaign with a victory on Wednesday, when a late winner from Caleb Yirenkyi sealed a 1-0 win over Panama in Toronto.
