Find out what's on the agenda on 23 June for Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions

England are back in action against Ghana tonight, Tuesday 23 June (9pm BST kick-off), at the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The Three Lions will go head-to-head with the Black Stars at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, USA in their second Group L match.

Match preparations

After training at their Kansas City base before flying to Boston on Monday, Thomas Tuchel and his staff will today turn their attention to the finer details of tonight's game.

The head coach will hold a team meeting with his squad after breakfast as they gear up to face Ghana for the first time ever in a competitive fixture.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on the eve of the game, Tuchel said he expects "a lot of physicality, quality and speed" from tonight's opponents.

Ready for action

The squad will have a pre-match meal before another short team meeting as Tuchel discusses the challenge awaiting his side at Boston Stadium later today.

Players and staff will then make the short journey to the home of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution, arriving in plenty of time to prepare for kick-off.

Ghana test

The Three Lions return to action as they look to seal their spot in the first knockout round. Kick-off against Ghana is 9pm BST and 4pm local time.

Tuchel has confirmed he has a fully fit squad to choose from for the game against Carlos Queiroz's side, who began their own campaign with a 1-0 win over Panama.

Victory would guarantee England a place in the Round of 32, while a draw between Croatia and Panama later tonight would mean three points would secure top spot in Group L.

Kansas City calling

After the match, Tuchel and his players will leave Boston and fly back to Kansas City, their basecamp for the duration of the tournament.

Following the two-and-a-half hour flight, the focus will immediately be on rest and recovery ahead of Saturday's final group stage game against Panama in New Jersey.
