England women’s under-20s ran out 1-0 winners over the Netherlands in their second outing in Alicante.

Having slipped to a 3-1 defeat against Spain at the weekend, the Young Lionesses bounced back.

John Salomon’s side broke the deadlock just before half time. Midfielder Chloe Hylton fired England into the lead with minutes remaining of the first half – a spectacular effort from just outside the 18 yard box.

There were a host of changes for the Young Lionesses in the second half as they held on to their advantage, seeing out a goalless 45 minutes to secure victory.
