Reigan Heskey and Luca Williams-Barnett on target as Young Lions extend winning run.

England men’s under-19s maintained their 100% record in the September and October international window with a 2-1 victory over the United States in Spain.

Reigan Heskey and Luca Williams-Barnett got the goals for the Young Lions, who were forced to play the final 17 minutes with 10 men after Max Dowman was sent off.

Ben Futcher’s side came into the game off the back of wins against the Republic of Ireland and Norway and they made a flying start at the Marbella Football Centre, where Heskey opened the scoring in the first minute.

The United States quickly restored parity as they converted an eighth minute penalty, but Williams-Barnett ensured his and the Young Lions’ good form continued when he grabbed the winner on the hour mark to claim his second goal in as many games.

The victory saw England extend their winning run to five games, stretching back to the March 2026 international camp.

They play their final fixture of this window against Belgium on Monday 5 October.
