Harry Kane receives top goalscorer award for 2025-26

Harry Kane has been presented with the award for the England men's top goalscorer presented by M&S Food for the 2025-26 season.

The Three Lions captain scored 12 goals in 16 appearances across the season, including six at this summer's FIFA World Cup 2026, when the Three Lions secured a bronze medal and their best men’s World Cup finish since winning the tournament in 1966.

Kane also broke more new ground over the season, becoming the player with the most appearances as captain and also becoming our highest goalscorer in the men’s World Cup.

The 33 year old received his award at St. George’s Park, after reporting for duty ahead of the September and October international window.

“I'm always proud of these achievements,” said Kane.

“It's a showcase of consistency, and I think that's a good part of who I want to be and who I am. I'm never someone who likes to rest on what they’ve done, it's always about the next few years and the next achievement.

“We started the season with important qualifying games and whenever you're in a qualification campaign, there's always high pressure and maybe more pressure than what’s seen from the outside. England is just expected to win, obviously, but you still have to perform and help the team.

“Whenever you’re in a major tournament year, it's obviously a big season especially with World Cups as you want to try and help your team achieve the goal of winning.

“As we know, it didn't quite happen for us, but there were a lot of positives to take from that and for me personally to score six goals at the World Cup was really special.”

England return to action on Saturday evening when they welcome new world champions Spain to Wembley Stadium in the first game of the new UEFA Nations League campaign.

From there, it’s trips overseas to play Czechia (7.45pm, Tuesday 29 September) and Croatia (5pm, Saturday 3 October) before it’s back to Wembley to host Czechia (7.45pm, Tuesday 6 October).
