Report: Norway 1-2 England MU19s

England men’s under-19s recorded their fourth consecutive victory as they beat Norway 2-1.

Luca Williams-Barnett and Alejandro Rodriguez got the goals for the Young Lions at the Banus Football Centre, where they were playing the first of three friendlies in Marbella, Spain. 

Having beaten the Republic of Ireland 1-0 at St George’s Park in the opening game of the September and October international window, Ben Futcher’s youngsters followed up with another narrow win. 

Williams-Barnett opened the scoring from midfield in the 16th minute, with Rodriguez extending the lead four minutes before half-time.

Norway pulled one back three minutes after the restart but Futcher’s side held firm to maintain their 100% record in this window.

The Young Lions are next in action on Friday 2 October (3pm BST), when they face the United States at Marbella Football Centre.
