- Ashley Cole made 107 appearances for England between 2001 and 2014, with only Bobby Moore (108) winning more caps among defenders for the Three Lions. Cole never scored for England, playing more often than any other outfield player without finding the net.

- Cole made 22 appearances for England at major tournaments, an all-time record for the Three Lions. He featured at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 World Cups and played at the 2004 and 2012 European Championships.

- England only ended on the losing side in 14 of Cole’s 107 appearances (13%) and never lost a single competitive home international with Cole featuring in 21 matches. In fact, between 2004 and 2013, Ashley Cole went 34 consecutive home appearances without defeat, the longest run of any player in England’s entire history.

- Cole is the only player to win 50+ caps with two different teams, winning his first 52 caps with Arsenal and his last 55 with Chelsea. In fact, only two other players have ever won 35+ caps with two different teams: Gordon Banks (37 with Stoke, 36 with Leicester) and David Beckham (60 with Man Utd, 36 with Real Madrid). Cole is fourth on the list of most caps won as an Arsenal player and third for most caps while playing for Chelsea.
