- Frank Lampard won 106 caps for England between 1999 and 2014, winning his first cap in a friendly against Belgium under Kevin Keegan and his final cap in the last group stage match at the 2014 World Cup against Costa Rica. Lampard’s father – Frank Lampard Sr – also won two caps for the Three Lions, with almost eight years separating his two appearances in October 1972 and May 1980.

- Nine of Lampard’s 29 goals for England came from the penalty spot, with only Harry Kane scoring more penalties for the Three Lions.

- Lampard is both the leading appearance maker among Chelsea players for England and also the record scorer for the Blues for the Three Lions.

- Only three players have scored in five consecutive appearances for England aged 30 or older, and Lampard is the oldest to ever do so, aged 34 years and 343 days in 2013.

- Lampard has scored more goals for England after the age of 30 than any other player, netting 15 times in 45 appearances after his 30th birthday.

- Lampard is the third-oldest outfield player to start a match for England at the World Cup, doing so aged 36 years and 4 days in 2014 vs Costa Rica. Only Stanley Matthews and Tom Finney have ever been older than Lampard.

- Lampard scored against 22 different nations for England but only four more than once, with Croatia his favourite opponents, scoring five times against them in six appearances, including one against them at EURO 2004.

- Lampard is the oldest player to score more than once in a match for England, scoring twice against Moldova in September 2012 aged 34 years and 79 days, breaking Ian Wright’s record set in September 1997, also against Moldova.
