To support the identification of talented players referred through the FA’s Discover My Talent Programme, each Hub will host a series of events, including bespoke Goalkeeper Talent ID activities.
To aid the development of both outfield players and goalkeepers for future involvement in the FA’s Youth National Team age groups, up to 24 hours of dedicated regional support will be provided. These sessions will help players explore, prepare, and engage both on and off the pitch through coach-led and game-based activities, underpinned by a holistic approach to player and parent education. Targeted programmes will also be delivered to address positional gaps within the system, including the FA’s Finding Our Finishers initiative, which focuses on identifying future goal-scorers for England teams.
Within the Club Pathway, Hubs will deliver ETC Cluster activities and dedicated competitions for ETCs in various formats, including 3v3.
Across all delivery areas, there will be opportunities to provide targeted coach development programmes, aligned with on-pitch delivery and best practice across the game.
Through the Hub model, we aim to provide tailored opportunities for both player and coach development, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Talent System.
