The City Ground is located within a 20-minute walk from Nottingham rail station. There is no spectator parking available at the stadium, so we recommended that spectators use public transport and city walk routes where possible – please follow the blue matchday signs for your walk route to the stadium. 

Nottingham rail station benefits from national rail connections including London St. Pancras, Leicester, Birmingham and Sheffield, and local tram services which connect to multiple Park & Ride sites across Nottingham. Please check East Midlands Railways website for more information on rail travel, including timetables, real-time updates and to book your match day travel in advance. Rail services serving Nottingham are anticipated to be very busy on matchday due to football fixtures taking place in Sheffield, Derby, Mansfield and Peterborough – please pre-book your journey where possible and allow plenty of time for your journey to the stadium.

There is no spectator parking available at the City Ground on match day, however, if you’re planning to drive to the match, we recommend using JustPark to find and pre-book your parking space near the stadium. There are a number of official and nearby parking options available around the stadium that can be reserved ahead of time, giving you peace of mind and a smoother arrival on matchday. Please note that spaces may sell out quickly, so we encourage booking early to avoid disappointment and reduce congestion around the stadium.

The stadium is also within a 20-minute walk of the city centre, with multiple car parking options available. Please visit Nottingham City Council’s website to consider your match day car parking, plus NET for Park & Ride options to / from Nottingham rail station.

Road closures are in place around the stadium post-match, and traffic congestion is anticipated on the roads surrounding the City Ground. As such, city centre parking is recommended on matchday to ensure a quicker journey time home, post-match.

*If you are driving to Nottingham on matchday, please be aware of the following local area updates. Please allow plenty of time to travel to the stadium, and consider JustPark for your matchday parking requirements:

- There is ongoing roadworks taking place on the A52 between Priory Way and the QMC roundabout. There is a small localised diversion in place – please keep up-to-date with these roadworks here, and check before you travel. 
- Nottingham Trent University is hosting an open day on Saturday 7th March between 09:00-15:00. Trinity Square Car Park is expected to be very busy – please consider other parking sites, and pre-book your matchday car parking where possible. 

Nottingham City Transport operate the local bus services in and around Nottingham. Please visit their website to consider your route to the stadium by bus including city centre travel links. Please ensure you keep up-to-date with timetabling information and real-time travel updates.

Coach travel is another great way to get to the stadium – spectators can book individual coach travel via the National Express website, which offers point to point services from across the UK for spectators travelling to Nottingham for the match.

Nottingham city centre and Nottingham rail station are within a 20-minute walk to the stadium – score! Spectators are encouraged to follow the blue matchday signs to get to the stadium

Cycling is encouraged on match day – cycle parking is located by the Trent End Stand. Lime bikes and Dott scooters can be used for short trips, the closest docking station is located west of Trent Bridge.
