The England Football Grassroots Football Awards demonstrates the amazing passion, talent and dedication of every volunteer in the England Football Family.
Taking place at the home of England Football, our glittering awards ceremony recognises our exceptional winners while celebrating every volunteer across England. Our volunteers were treated to a range of unique experiences, from putting the Community Shield onto the plinth to handing out the medals at the end of the match to the winners. It truly was a celebration of their hard work and dedication to the game.
And for the second year running we’ve seen a huge increase in the number of nominations. Each is a thank you from one volunteer to another, and a clear sign of the powerful connection that exists between volunteers in the grassroots game.

Meet Steve Bradford
In 25 years as a referee, officiating 250 games a season, Steve hasn’t once taken a fee for his matchday role. Instead, he’s happily donated every penny back for team events and started a scheme to help young match officials pay for their courses – watch to find out more about our Match Official of the Year.
